There's seriously no point to watching this film. Whether your a fan of the Halloween movies or not. There was no interesting plot. No suspense. Very dull. Every character was annoying and served no purpose to the story whatsoever. And not even in a way that they all got killed off. Like they seemed like they would be a big part of the film, than just disappeared for the second half. Honestly a waste of time and money, and a disgrace to the franchise. AHHHH IM SO HAPPY LAUREN FINALLY PLAYED ACNH.

This is the sequel that rabid fans of John Carpenter's original film have been longing for! HALLOWEEN 2018 takes us right back to Haddonfield, Illinois, like we're returning home for a very unsettling family reunion. Michael Myers / The Shape (Nick Castle) now an older, still silent menace, has been incarcerated in an institution these long, forty years. Meanwhile, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has been waiting, and preparing for the day -night- of her inevitable encounter w/ her past. Having grown distant from her daughter, Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter, Allyson (Andi Matichak) Lauri has become ever more vigilant / paranoid, all the more consumed by her single focus. While this has been no good for her family life, it turns out to be extremely beneficial to all concerned, when Michael slips away from his transfer bus and decides to head back to his home town. His latest rampage is bloody, terrifying, and direct, as he makes his way toward his destiny. The filming is beautiful to behold, as the camera follows Michael through the neighborhood, in and out of various homes, bringing his signature doom. The final showdown is a confrontation for the ages, tying up so many loose ends, and bringing things to a close in spectacular fashion. Hell, I almost cried! Of course, they had me from the opening theme song! There are some nice twists, surprises, and a basket full of "Easter eggs" both subtle and obvious, to enjoy. Highly recommended for those who have waited so long. Co-stars Will Patton as the dogged Officer Hawkins, and Haluk Bilginer as the even-more-Michael-obsessed-than-Loomis, Dr. Sartain.
